The Bible says “with God, all things are possible” and we believe God wants these things to happen. (If you think its impossible, click here.) But when God wants to do a great work, he usually calls people to work along side him and asks them to give their lives for that task. Those who study history know that to stop great evil always required a Herculean effort by a committed few. Nothing good comes easy. The leaders of The Connection are willing to put in this kind of effort. In many ways, they already have. You can read some amazing stories of their courage and risk, by clicking here. With God’s help, they have started to reach the very difficult but pivotal city of Vancouver . What has been accomplished so far is just a taste of what could be done, a down payment on the vision. God has put The Connection in the right place at the right time. Now, like Moses, they need those who will “hold up their arms” so they can continue the battle. (Click here to read what “holding up our arms” means.) What is the greatest need? The thing that limits the ministry the most is finances. Much time and energy has been diverted into fund raising or doing work that has nothing to do with ministry. For a time we were reluctant to ask for money, but we now see that money is very much part of the spiritual battle. (See here) We have also discovered that when people give, they are much more likely to pray and help in other ways. That's why we offer many opportunities to support this work financially.
